Probably a bit late for that.

Knock yourself out. Perhaps best not to knock one out though…

I’d have chipped in to have him exhumed and suspended in a vat of piss for all eternity as a fitting tribute.

No I thought that was odd and didn’t work. Also random clips of Savile were jarring and detracted from the dramatisation.

Entertaining tale of a haunting in Melbourn, Cambs. Not sure the house owner will be too pleased.

Also brings up the Bold St timeslip in Liverpool

Don’t take it seriously and it’s quite enjoyable.

Beckham on Netflix - excellent :ok_hand:t2:

I enjoyed it. But it’s a cynical PR back slap, made strictly for his agenda.

I finally got around to seeing this yesterday, and really enjoyed it. I had been frustrated with not managing to see it on the IMAX screen during its brief tenure there, but having read a bit around the film, I discovered that in fact it wasn’t shot in the IMAX aspect ratio, and actually was shot in an extra wide format, which meant although you would see it nice and large on the IMAX, you would lose quite a bit from the sides, and it would also still have black bars top and bottom. The director recommended not seeing it on IMAX! So I contented myself with seeing it on a regular screen at the Barcode, and sat in the fourth row, to get as good an immersion as I could, but still take in the whole screen. I found it visually stunning, and the story was better than I expected (I’m a bit over the whole AI taking over the world motif). Very decent movie.

I also have to weigh up seat comfort (much better at VUE) vs screen capabilities.

We’re seeing Killers of the Flower Moon (3h26m) next week so that’ll also be at Vue for comfort reasons!

Criteria of the right thinking portly fellow: - Vue has free parking, Ben & Jerry’s and full recline seats…

Ask for a Ben and Jerrys milkshake. They love it when you do that !

3h 26m!! Christ that’s long. Does look excellent from the preview.

Official Secrets. The amazing story of GCHQ whistle blower Katharine Gun. I’d forgotten this slice of history & particularly its outcome which I expect was played down by most of the Gulf War supporting press at the time as it was extremely embarrassing for them.

Saw this last night. Absolutely epic, one of the best things I’ve ever seen. 11/10.

Scorsese might as well quit now as I’m not sure how he’s going to top this.

It’s long for sure, but actually well paced, and doesn’t drag.
