I tried to watch this the first time around and failed, maybe I was in the wrong frame of mind?
Just watched the pilot and first few episodes again and it’s much better than I remember!
It’s a great concept but the screen play is classic US serial style with episodes that can be just nothing to do with the core plot and obvious filler.
The thing that killed it off for me was the constant acting mode of dreary look on the faces of the two leads and the odd tempo.

Some of these appeared on Amazon Prime a while back then almost immediately disappeared.
Here’s hoping they become easier to access.

Yeah, having watched a few more, there’s not alot of smiling and it’s shot quite darkly…but you can kinda understand why 
.
I think it the pained expression the actress constantly pulls, I could feel it sapping my energy

Saw a trailer for this few months ago and it’s just come on Prime.
Jesus Christ it’s bad. Managed about 30 minutes of it.

I find IMDB very consistent in that anything below 6 is always bad so my policy is nope, not gonna be suckered into watching a turd.

Yeah we usually look at the IMDb rating.
I tried watching it several times months ago on the firestick but the streams never worked. I should have took the hint.
I think that’s the lowest rating film I’ve seen that I’ve watched or at least tried to.
the studios use bots to generate lots of positive reviews so I also ignore anything with less than 1000 scores.

Ad Astra is a great film, it’s so scientifically realistic I actually consider it to be a documentary.
So they’re 99.9% accurate.
