My Mrs loves that but it’s not for me - like similar TV shows I find it’s all build up and too little crescendo.
they had it on the beeb news earlier and Claudia Winkleman is going to disappear behind that fucking fringe soon.
It’s the BMW grille of the hair world
Generally I don’t watch 'reality TV or anything with ‘Celebrity’ in the title but Traitors had me hooked from S1.
Partly I think because there are no judges, no popular vote, it is just the players in the game.
I understand that are going to be making a Celebrity Traitors, Which I will defo not be watching
Severance season 2.
Still great.
The latest season of slow horses was a bit shit. I can’t remember much of it and I just watched it. It’s still funny but the plot has gone daft and the acting camped up to the max.
Yes, I think that makes a big difference - it also doesn’t seem to be people doing it “for the fame” either.
It certainly felt quite a brief thing to me, which was a shame for sure.
I remembered this as being a sunny comedy about a couple of happy go lucky Robin Hood style train/bank robbers. While it was trying to be that, it hasn’t aged well at all.
It has a few memorable sequences but there’s an interminable section in the middle where they’re being pursued by a posse, a further, too long section of sepia, still photographs depicting their life on the run, first in New York & then down to South America. And then, when they get to Argentina & Bolivia they return to robbing banks of money that the locals can ill afford to lose.
The story went that they both died in a shoot out in a small town called San Vicente but there appears to be quite a bit of evidence that Cassidy actually returned to the US and lived there until about 1937. However, much of that only came to light long after 1969 when the film came out.
Despite Newman’s & Redford’s portrayals, the pair were evidently a couple of murderous, thieving thugs in reality but that story is lost in the film’s sunshine & comedy. Instead they’re mostly portrayed as wholesome American heroes with the Bolivians as primitive, uncivilised idiots. Very much of its time & not very well directed at least in terms of its pacing.
This was enjoyable
Quite a twist
It’s in my top 3 shows ever.
Sucker for the weird. It is also wonderfully cast.
And it never tries too hard.
It’s Lost in an office, but a lot smarter with better characters.
Time for some utter garbage.
Had friends round for a Burns Nigt supper earlier, and they fancied watching ‘Smile’ (2022).
Supposed to be a ‘psychological thriller/horror crossover’ - it’s not, it’s shit.
Fucking shit.
Yes.
As bad as your spelling ?
