Discovered Dexter over Christmas. I’m hooked.

Finally getting a chance to catch up on this. The same sort of things happen as in the previous episodes and it doesn’t matter a bit.

As an aside, I am struggling to think of anyone else apart from Bob Mortimer who emerged as a sidekick for someone else but is still justifiably famous in their own right.

Browsing through Netflix last night Hel put Ricky Gervais’s ‘special’ Mortality on. Fuck me if that wasn’t an hour of him wobbling around culture wars yet again, weakly banging on about free speech whilst doing precisely fuck all with it except some more laboured disabled gags.

Ricky, you seem to have forgotten what a joke is, maybe get that gangly tall bloke to write some more for you…

Great film and superb soundtrack by Alberto Iglesias as well.

Bingeing the M.R. James Ghost Story for Christmas on iPlayer.

The Mezzotint, Lot 249 etc.

Apparently there is the Michael Hordern “Whistle and …” there somewhere but that didn’t record so I’ll have to search for it separately.

Did you watch this years Mark Gatiss one? You could see the denouement a mile off, but it still gave me the shivers!

For sure.

My favourite is this

I think I know what I’m doing on Monday now :+1:

The Beast In Me (Netflix). Quite unimpressed with the ending.

Kinda wish I lived in an era pre central heating and global warming. Altho I suspect the reality would be not as great as the fantasy.

managed about 20mins of that before I switched it off, just awful.

Anyway shouldn’t you be riding around on the bus to stay warm rather than watching films now you’re retired?

Bus passes aren’t valid after 23.00

Can’t have pensioners clogging up the long night bus routes
