Just finished the final episode of Mr Mercedes.
I loved it*
Far fetched and weird but some very good performances and characters that you can engage with.

Finished S2 yesterday. Enjoyed it more than I expected but I feel this is mainly due to the strong cast more than the storyline. I will be watching S3
The album is phenomenal.
Currently watching Yellowstone on Shiteflix.
Every single character is wonderfully awful and I can despise them in their own unique way. Truly none of them have any redeeming qualities and their lurching from one terrible situation purely of their own making to the next unlikely shit show in their life makes for fantastic car crash TV.
The interest is starting the wane now after nearly completing 3 seasons but Iām waiting for the true master of watchable bastard tv āLandmanā to finish season 2 before I start watching it so Iāll probably finish all the seasons on Netflix.
I havenāt seen this for ages, so watched it again last night with Sam as he hadnāt seen it yet
.
Ha what a movie I bet he loved that.
Yep. It had a lot of recap and deal of walking the audience through the past.
The pace suffered, but it was the denouement of a cinematic tour de force. For all its faults, it encapsulates what cinema is all about.
I didnāt mind it. It wasnāt anything to put on the wall, but it did the job. There were moments that remind you what action films used to be.
Tom took me for one last ride. Overall, the series was a hell of a trip!
Pure fucking shite from start to finish.
Iāve missed Barry Norman.
Until now ![]()
I set my watch to time the first reaction.
I think you are missing the point: itās not meant to be anything but a slab of chutzpah.
Cheesey action cheese with more cheese. Itās movie night on steroids.
I donāt give two shits what everyone else thinks.
Itās not even a film mate. Itās just 2 hours of people explaining things to each other, sometimes from inside biplanes while upside down.
Exactly. Itās just the end of a thing by a person who wants to celebrate the journey. Itās what it is.
I donāt disagree, I just have a different experience.

And Iāll watch/enjoy just about anything. Utterly disappointing.
Hamnet at the cinema this afternoon.
Magical. 5/5
You did the full 2 hrs
I switched it off after 15mins, probably the quickest for any film ever, I even watched Ad Astra to the end ![]()
Must watch that, it looks to be stellar. I hear itās a tour de force from Jessie Buckley
sheās a really fine actress whoās already amassed many strong perfomances. Loved her & Olivia Coleman riffing off each other in āWicked little lettersā
