Project Hail Mary.
Enjoyable Sci-Fi yarn from the author of The Martian.

I enjoyed that!
Bollox, but funny bollox.
Crime 101.
Endorsement. Much better fare than the usual weekend action fluff. Not quite as good as it wants to be (itâs not Heat), but very good at most of it.
Mike, Nick, Nick, Hugh, Hugh, Barney blah. More like the fluff Iâm used to.
Then some Shogun. Which got a little soap opera in the middle, lost a bit of steam, but one to go.
Cuthbert, Dibble and Grubb
I was thinking it as I saw youâd posted it!
The film is called: Mike, Nick, Nick, and Alice.
Forgettable.
I couldnât be arsed to type the full Trumpton. Pugh seems to have spell checked out!
Not a fan of Ryan Gosling and started by hating him in this film but what a turn around.
A twee, saccharin feel good movie but absolutely fucking brilliant.
Iâve not watched many films in the last decade, but the other night with friends we watched both Harold and Maude, and also Adult Life Skills. An absolutely superb pairing of two utterly wonderful films, which left even emotionally crippled me a right old mess.
Quite how Adult Life Skills has the modest rating it does on IMDB boggles the mind, I can only assume some of the most miserable, heartless bastards on the face of the planet have been eating it.
Nope, I havenât watched it.
Many stars wonât watch the films they are the lead in.
Very solid theme tune.
Christopher Walken is great in this, but originally it was supposed to be David Bowie playing this part.
Grace Jones specialises in Mr MWSâs optimal way to go / death fantasy here.
Are you sure he isnât confusing her with Xenia Onatopp (from Goldeneye) whoâd asphyxiate men between her thighs?
Gah I got wrapped up in the wrong bond-age - Xenia Onatopp is Peek death fantasy
