What I'm watching (Series 2)

Was expecting so much better. 4/10

Err, Statham?

Bee Keeper 2 can’t come soon enough.

The Invite

Very sharp & funny film about a couple: him a grumpy music teacher, her an airheaded but aspirational wife who invite the noisy & apparently promiscuous couple from upstairs down for the evening to show them the apartment & gently complain about the noise.

Really well acted & could easily have also been a stage play.

Strong recommend.

That’s is bloody awful. No age at all and looking at limited time left.

Ah jesus, that’s terrible .

We really enjoyed that series, very entertaining.

This is on BBC1 tonight at 10:40

It was never going to be nominated for an Oscar but it’s a pleasant enough watch, even if you only have a passing interest in The Beatles.

… so you don’t have to etc. Seriously it’s utter gash. Really nonsensical and frustrating to watch as the writers clumsily plough about thinking we won’t notice the heavy handed allegory about US isolationism and fear of what’s outside their borders.

2/10 and I’m being fucking generous.

Gladiator II - Ridley Scott just WTF was that?

Pluribus.
Wonderfully acted and crafted. Watchable , but very dull and became more devoid of real entertainment the longer it went on. Needs to pick up A LOT in series two.
The angst wasn’t quite offset by the action.

Lucky.
A bit of a mess and no more than a series of cliches and chases. Expected a lot more from the casting quality. They work hard under a patchy and hastily assembled script of set pieces.
