It is - it’s hard going but essential to the story in the subsequent two books. Heretics is a cracker and I’ve only just started Chapter House but looks promising.

I find it quite staggering to think of the level of imagination and skill in writing the whole series.

It’s definately worth reading them all again Adam it’s a tremendous series of books. Reading them again the last couple of months has made me realise I was too young to fully appreciate them the first time around.

Do you still have all the books ? I’m happy to pass them all on to you (except Dune as I have a nice hardback copy I want to keep).

I spotted that but I’d check with them to see if it’s a proper reproduction of the original with the colour plates as well besides I don’t have the readies at just now. :pensive:

NETFLIX…The best thing I’ve seen for months. This guy is a relentless, resourceful plumb. In many ways he should be AA’s mascot.

If you don’t know Otway here is one of (Not even his best) ‘moments’.

saw Otway supporting Wilko Johnson in a tiny club in Southend a few years ago. Got to say I didn’t really take him seriously and spent most of the time drinking and talking.

The original series of this was excellent and I’d recommend you watched that first but season 2 is, if anything, even better so far.

Mrs Waxy refuses to watch it… and has already deemed it unsuitable. This has rightly not gone down well with FoL, so I said I would watch it and see.
