Pierre Moerlen did some excellent drumming for Gong. One track on You album i remember.

Jaki Liebezeit (Can) is very hypnotic. Must go put Future Days on .

I was just coming onto this thread to post a vote for Philthy and your post popped up in front of me. We win.

I very much enjoy Jean Paul Gaster of Clutch. Very tasteful hard rock drummer. Was phenomenal live when I saw them on Wednesday.

Stevie Wonder is a very underrated drummer. Lots of feel for the song and some very away from the norm drumming.

Put on Talking book, innervisions or fullfillingness and listen.
