Wtd: 3 (or 4) Isolation feet for my TT2

My Heybrook TT2 is set up well and bounces nicely BUT I have 2 springy floorboards that I just can’t tame and when stood on, they cause the stylus to skip, not tragically, but enough.

So, before I do a trawl of the usual sites, does anybody have anything half decent lying around in their spares draw that they would like to move on ?

Thanks in advance.

Seriously, get a wall shelf, if you have a springy floor everything else is a compromise.

Agreed as long as the wall is solid.

When my system used to be upstairs i put suitably disguised paving slab under the whole rack, it stabilised the floor, problem gone, the wall wasn’t an option for me, but it is the best option if you can do it :+1:.

Unfortunately, a wall shelf isn’t an option :frowning:

Non suspended TT’s are best on wobbly floors, no suspension to jiggle, but you knew that already .

The problem with more isolation on an already suspended deck is you have another suspension to wobble and interact.

Being less flippant for a moment, I have an Iso Acoustics ZaZen II here.

They’re £230 new. What say you to £100? There is no packaging but I could probably cobble together something to post it?

Looks like a sensible solution. Yes please Ed.

This, however, doesn’t look like a sensible solution :man_facepalming:

honestly, there is no isolation foot in existence that will fix this for you. The frequency of vibration you’re trying to isolate can’t be removed at that stage.

Wall shelf, or relocation are the only real options. A friend of mine moved his table to the fireplace, just so it could go on the stone! he now has a wall shelf and all issues are gone.

Does anyone make a shelf hung by stiff wire that can be attached to the ceiling?
Not sure I’d want one,but might be handy in a vaulted ceiling loft space.
I know @FatCuntTroller had sort of wired tt shelf, can’t remember the make though.

Lots of Air bearing solutions too. In more real world solutions I used these for years to good effect on a sprung floor in what is effectively the upstairs of a 17th century coach house (Brothel)
