WTD: I've got the horn

Yep, KettleJnr1 is in year 6 and was a bump when I exhibited the year before.

I’ll try not to!

Didn’t this place start around the same time ?

Yes, that Scalford was just before, I think.

Ah the night of the long pointy knives :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Was the last Scalford I went to. Think this one started in December 2016.
Looking forward to next Decembers decade long party.

Me, @68rednose and @maverick of The Mav Forum fame exhibited together that year. We were opposite Wayne @crimsondonkey IIRC. Much grog was glugged

There wasn’t much socialising for me, or @coco , was a nightmare tbh. I’ve moaned about this before… It was a marathon with all sorts of headaches. We didnt enjoy it much.

I do remember a couple of epic moments with music though. @stu 's dub plate playing above was fantastic. Also, someone brought a half speed master of Bitches Brew in, and although I can’t remember which turntable it was on, it was absolutely incredible.

Was the Kondo landfill system with your wedding cake turntable the year before or after?
I helped Simon for a couple of years once with Westminsters and once with the Ocellos and I am trying to work out when?

What about something like these, on the compact side…

Whilst you’re reminiscing look through your cupboards, lofts, garages for either some 1.5” drivers or 1.4” horns! Thanks! :folded_hands:

The image makes them look small. The dimensions not so much. I just don’t think I have the space for a full multi way horn set up.

Only 600 x 600 x 700 (for one 15") which is probably not far off a standard Onken cabinet for the 15" driver…

I’ve always like the idea of a horn cab for my Volt BM2500.4 drivers, since @AmDismal popped the idea in my head years ago, still not got to grips with Hornresp though. It’s not really a popular driver so no ‘off the shelf’ plans are out there.

Ah I didn’t see the drawing had them stacked and just saw the height at 1272mm!

You mean the YL system? March '14.

I don’t think anyone noticed that the gap between bass and midrange is different on each speaker

Did Router Monkey get the blame, though?

He was fucking furious, but knew that it was he that measured them. Why do you think they were sold so soon afterwards?

I am the person that ordered stained glass windows for my front door that were 10cm too long. He knows not to trust my measuring!
