Nicely found Steve!
Hope they factored-in the capacitance of those inductors - can’t see it being negligible?
I had a quick look at the Mundorf website (not sure what those are, but they do similar ones) and they describe them as low capacitance, but don’t actually give the capacitance!
The linked ones above don’t seem to be the ones for sale.
If they are the same they have been changed.
Not being the same fits with the claims the cabinets were made by a different firm.
I found them by googling the details on the sale page about the makers. At least it shows the provenance and genesis.
All helps when you are dropping big wedge.
I kind of suspect the builders of the crossover may have sort of known a bit about what they were doing. But you never know.
Guessing they ended up in here
I’ve recently been looking at these which will be in an upcoming auction of items from Mallory Park race track. Just need a dab of Japanman’s bitumen & job’s a good 'un.
Wait, what about the 160hz horns you already have?!
Yeah on the basis that each inductor will have cost several hundred euros, I imagine they have done the maths!
I don’t need the Mallory Park ones but the Goto system reminded me that the horn size/profile is nothing new.
I must get the 160Hz Azura ones going with the JBL’s on the back but requires a frame (or some kind of clever articulated arm) as per the Goto arrangement.
Aren’t those some of Kevin’s subs for the OBXs or ext xover boxes for the OBXs?
That’s what I was assuming
Goto just use simple expos for their own stuff. Not sure what that one is - if Ming-su did it it might be a bit more sophisticated as I know Jeffrey J did some stuff with him.
Yes, you must. Adam can 3D print you something overly elaborate in 497 pieces to glue together
I hope not, the dark finish doesn’t match the bass cabinets at all
Guessing not based on what people have said - Praises be
Blessed be the fruit.
-box.
Is bitumen type sheet on the back of horns very important as mine have started to dry and fall off.
Sorry for the ot jim
