EMI factory disk defect detector. Part of their quality control at the Hayes Plant. Interesting the cart reads against the groove, clicks and pops ‘read’ in this way are then plotted and printed out. No one bothers with this kind of thing today.

I’ve always been curious about the Goodmans Axiom 80, SO much comment online how they are the best full-range driver ever but not much of people who actually own them or measurements. Seem to have a certain aura which means they are uber collectable so £££.

They are very fast, they don’t play up too high - the real win is in the mid range.

Popped over there today. The place only opened a week ago. The system sounded lovely but the place was quite busy with a family occupying the sweetspot sofa so I decided to go back in the week when it’s a bit quieter if I can and have a chat with the owner and get some decent pics of the equipment in use. Those valve amps in particular look very tasty.
Update soon hopefully.
