Yet another thread for the purposes of awarding a cockpunch

I’m more disappointed in myself than anything, and that is why it hurts.

We agreed before we moved that I wasn’t going to get involved in all that. … but i couldn’t fucking resist.

I’m guessing the VTA trope is certain to break the ice then.

I don’t think they are equipped for my quips.

What did you actually say?

It probably involved keys in a bowl.

No point beating about the bush. Just come straight out and call them all cunts.

Then flounce.

It really is cringy I don’t think I could see it in writing again. I’m just going to try and move on.

I’ll whisper it to you when we meet at Settle again.

If they let you come to Settle.

One for me again for selling on ebay and expecting people to understand the meaning of collection only.
I honestly didnt realise how fucking hard that is to understand.

Brexit, Trump and Boris… how much explanation do you need?

Good point well made

Today’s candidate is HMV. I decided to give them a challenge to see if they had learnt anything from the financial upheaval and takeover.

It’s a resounding NO.

I asked the availability and prices of several vinyl box sets and albums. Their availability was scattergun and pricing £25 more expensive.

Shame really.

That’s odd, my local one has massively expanded their vinyl selection and improved their racks so it’s not all squashed together. There’s usually a good range of stuff reduced including some relatively recent stuff.

This was the metropolis of High Wycombe. General ambience hasn’t changed. Their pricing is just fucked up. When I mentioned the price differential, the nice guy I spoke to said that even with Staff Discount, he buys from Amacunts.

TBF, there was a lot more “bargains” but even they were more expensive than I have seen elsewhere.

I went into HMV in Liverpool this morning. The New Order Live Box Set that was released the other day is £3 more expensive than in Probe. I had a bit of rummage in the vinyl racks, it has either ‘Meh!’ or ‘How much?’ I got home unencumbered by new vinyl. This is unusual as spending usually occurs.

There is something shite about HMV shops almost everywhere. The atmosphere of the one in Liverpool is like a Sports Direct but with vinyl, CDs and sundry tat. I love record shops of all types but I didn’t enjoy being in there. They can get to fuck as far as I am concerned

So HMV is basically the Maplins of record shops.

Sort of, except there was usually stuff I wanted to buy in Maplins.

I think the atmosphere comes from the shop’s location, in the mahoosive Liverpool One development. Pretty much every unit there felt like a Sports Direct when we visited.

They did have a half decent metal section of vinyl though.
