Yet another thread for the purposes of awarding a cockpunch

They either don’t bother and sell it online (if they’re selling from outside the EU they don’t need to of course) or they just lie - big CE mark on the back and either no earth at all or earthed via a simple lifting switch, in case it hums. The thing is no-one checks. I think I’m up to three different Italian bits of kit like this. In one of them the only earth connection was to the mains transformer’s interwinding screen. So that’s OK then because how else could mains live get into contact with the chassis ? Perhaps by the fact that they ran it to and from the (single-pole) mains switch along tracks on the pcb ! With signal ground running a fraction of a mm away !! We exchanged e-mails. They said it was OK, everything would be earthed by the signal ground running down the interconnect from the power amp (the kit was a pre).

99% of my involvement with Twitter is to keep up with the national birding news. For that reason alone it is indispensable to me.

I do follow and take an interest in some political commentators, but that’s secondary to the primary attraction.

I joined a long time ago and just find the majority of posts absolute drivel. I’ve not been motivated enough to to follow anyone or look around too much.

I sometimes use twitter, it seems that celebrity types like to post the odd comment on there and such like…

Haha, yes.

As it happens, they do, prolifically. It serves as an up to the minute, free information service.

Direct Line breakdown cover can have one - renewal at £226! :flushed:

Can someone please repost that cheap breakdown insurance quote link from a few weeks back?

They won’t come down?!
We have been with AA for over 30 years, and every year, they come in with a full price renewal, (£241), and I have to get it down, which they do.
