I got auto aid breakdown, which was about £50 to renew.
I have no idea of the quality of service. I’ve not had to use it since I don’t drive a Porsche.

If you’d bought it brand new you’d have got free breakdown cover
Autoaids the one Jim. Recommended by Martin Lewis. Very full cover- home start, relay included etc etc
I’ve called them when I had a flat battery. Very professional on the phone. Sent a local bloke within 45 mins.
I wouldn’t use anyone else. I think there’s a voucher code for a fiver off on the Martin Lewis forum.
Haha, what the fuck? I thought that was your insurance when I first read it!!!
I fucking wish…
BTW, is your quote lower for Norfuck?
My car insurance renewal is due next week so it will need to be in Ilford for the first month or two.
But I suspect the car insurance cost (for both Ann and I) will plummet once we get to Norfolk, the breakdown cover might also be cheaper, probably not with Autoaids though - just been looking, they seem to be about £60, wherever you are.
I am with emergency assist - It was cheap and had reasonable reviews.
I have never had to use them.
I paid for my son to go on AA that was also quite cheap.
Direct line are consistantly way more money than others for building insurance, some friends were paying 400 quid insurance with them and i told them about the guys i use and they saved over half that. I guess you probably get rolls royce cover but AXA are much cheaper i find for building insurance etc
Is that 'cos you live in Dodge City?
actually if you’d bought used you’d have got 2 years free cover
I doubt it rural communities could be worse for thefts and claims for damage. My colleague who has recently retired to a spot just outside Ipswich had his go up
Bt home hub
And bt trying to get me to pay extra for the mini hub
Stick your service up your arse
Say no more. I love Suffolk but Ipswich is a dive.
19 hrs in A&E, not me but GF in severe pain, gallstones suggested a month ago last time she was rushed in. At least this time she’s had a scan which confirms the diagnosis, but pain relief and we’ll try and get you on the 2 week red list.
I think the nation needs a cockpunch for allowing this to creep in.
Overheard at 6.40
“X needs an MRI”
“Nope, can’t authorise it till 7”
“But it’ll be 7 when we get him there”
“Nope, they’ll charge out of hours, only emergencies authorised before 7, call again at 7”
Private health and penny pinching already here…
Ouch! Hope they can sort her out soon Mark. Best wishes.
Tramadol’s helping, but seeing a very generous and loving woman short tempered / frustrated and in pain is worse than being ill myself.
Give her a hug from us both and the collies xx
Oof, that’s difficult. Hope it’s sorted quicky Mark.
Having been there and done a fair bit of research following my trip to A&E, try to find out if the stones are fatty or calcium based. Don’t let them fob you off with ‘why do you want to know or we can’t tell’. When I had my scan and asked the lady she said I was the first person to ask in all the time she’d been doing it. Also, the hospital said I had kidney stones and discharged me the next day. By the time I got home I was in so much pain I went straight to the GP who took one look at me and said not kidney stones but a massive infection of the gall bladder. He was right!
If you want to know more PM, I’ll be happy to help any way I can.
