Your 2022 bucket list

I set out last year to shed some weight. I’ve slowly gone from 83Kg to 68Kg over the year. Would like to get it down to a steady state of about 63 Kg by the middle of the year. All achieved by portion control and staying out of the biscuit tin. If I wasn’t so hampered by illness and fatigue I might have been able to use exercise to de-flab at a faster rate. Hopefully, this year I can get on top of the fatigue as it is very fucking tedious.

I think you’ve done a great job as it is Olan

Exercise for weight loss is highly over-rated - if you can change your diet habits sustainably then that’s usually 80% of the war won right there - well done.

I went from 105 Kg to 95 Kg in 2019 and I’m now at 115 Kg

I’ll start the diet next week, far too much shortbread and stollen left in the house at the moment.

This year 90kg to 72.9kg for me. Last few weeks up to 77.2 so new effort next week. All change of diet and exercise.

LOL, I kept up with my walking but I allowed myself quite a bit of bad for me but delicious food the last month. Gained a bit of weight, starting back on the clean diet tomorrow :slightly_smiling_face::carrot:

106kg at the start of the pandemic the relationship between being overweight and the mortality rate shocked me into action. I’ve drastically reduced my calorie intake and got back into push bikes and fitness in general. It may sound a trivial thing to some but I’m really pumped that I’m now down to 81kg and very close my bike racing days I can even fit in my old leathers.
Never ever thought that would happen.

Fucking Olan @htm_1968 started using Kgs so I had to go to google to convert Stone to Kg and now I have no clue if someone is a fat cunt or not.

PS - pretty sure I am.

£SD I’m still fat. Whichever way you fry it, I have spectacularly over eaten, over drunken and massively under exercised

That Chelsea Dave will master the internets. :grinning:

Fraid not. The only time I was serious about computer programs were Design and Checking (QA) as follows…

Taking a break from the booze for a few months, I usually manage a couple of dry periods in a year and always feel the better for it .

Lose 4 stone.

That sounds a lot, but it’s a small %

Oof!

A trim lad like yourself, that can’t be more than what? 5% of bodyweight… :upside_down_face:

Just a chin or two I would guess.

Today I went for my usual afternoon swim & chose a quieter looking lane where a chap was leading 2 women doing 100’s starting every 2m30. They, he in particular, moved along at quite a pace, so I decided to latch on at the back every time they started. I could just about keep up with the second woman but I’d guess he was doing the 100s in about a minute without any apparent effort.

It was only when I came out & saw the oceanwalkeruk.com SUV in the carpark that I realised who it must’ve been. Adam Walker himself doing a private masterclass coaching session for which, I guess, the women had paid 230 quid for the privilege :grinning:

I wish I’d stopped & just watched more. It was incredible to see at first hand.

That’s cool. I’ve been thinking of booking a one to one 5 hour session in his swim spa pool. It’s about 600 for Adam and about 400 for someone else to teach you. It’s a bit rich for me at the minute. With my Spondylitis it’s hard to keep my head in the correct position, as I have limited movement to the right and left. I’m averaging about 14 single strokes per length after a breaststroke under water kick and pull.

This takes some doing in the YouTube video below
