I agree with Webber’s comments. He worked in close quarters with him and is quite astute for a Strayan.
I mostly find myself agreeing with Martin Brundle, although there is no secret that sections of the Ferrari garage have had Ricciardo on their shopping list.
Brundle doesn’t get too much wrong, but Seb has behaved like a petulant, spoiled brat from the moment things stopped going all his way - Exhibit A: Azerbaijan, 2017. Guess his judgement is clouded by his friendship.
Everything’s moving very quickly, it seems. Sainz to Ferrari / Ricciardo to McLaren / Fred back to Renault…I bet Bottas is sweating a fair bit! His is surely the only seat left that Vettel would consider
Whar Wolf is not thinking " what we really need now is another unstable diva that has a massive inferiority complex as soon as a team mate is within 2 seconds of him"
Couple of months back there were rumours circulating that because Jean Todt was unlikley to be reelected as president of the FIA (in theory he shouldn’t be able to stand having fulfilled 3 terms), and that Wolff was being courted as a possible successor.
Ferrari ain’t gonna like it if it comes to pass, albeit Wolff certainly wouldn’t be so partisan as ex-Scuderia man, Todt…
Wolff is also a shareholder in Aston Martin (as well as Merc) and has been linked to a potential AMC supply deal once the new Regs. kick in.
This was doing the rounds early last season. But the F1 World, like the rest of it, is a very different place.
Time will tell, but only Hamilton stands to lose any sleep when it does happen.
