I have one.

The RAW files are huge, as you say, so just use a hosting site - I use Flickr Pro but you can use it to host 1k images on the free version. You can also have as many free versions as you wish, if you don’t mind the adverts.

I just export resized shots out of Lightroom. It has a multitude of options for this.
