All the Football (Part 2)

Yep, cunty bullshit.
I’m a LFC fan, but couldn’t care less what he claims. Utter money-grabbing sports-washing pish.

Was hearing reports on the Saudis offering 250 mill for Salah,£50,000 match win bonus and a slice of shirt sales.

Eventually they’ll go full Corleone and make them an offer they can’t refuse.

Daft pricks might as well just buy the club

(I’m glad they haven’t)

Liverpool should stall it til January, and try and get a replacement ready over the next few months. Easier said than done though.

The only player anywhere near his level in the Prem is Saka and Arsenal are never going sell, let alone the player himself being interested in joining us.

Yes, all a bit pointless if you have a lump of money and no one to replace.

The pressure must be mounting on Salah wanting to go,and Liverpool finding it hard to turn down that sort of offer on a 31 year old.

Players at that level are pretty much irreplaceable. Yeah you get a massive chunk of money but almost every time a superstar gets sold for mega money the club ends up spaffing it away because a direct replacement is unobtanium.

I honestly think Salah’s not bothered about going right now. If he was, he’d be gone already.

He’s got 5 years left at the top. His mentality and physique is very similar to Ronaldo. He’s NEVER injured. Why would he piss off to a football retirement home now when he could be dominating Europe for years to come.

Thanks, but I’m not.

Ditto with regard to Qatar & Utd. It’d probably be their best chance of remaining competitive with City & Newcastle but I’d rather the Glazers sold to Ratcliffe/Ineos & try to manage with a bit less money.

Course he was going.
Told by the club they would love to keep him.
But his wages. His fee. Aging squad. Loyalty not sense to keep him one last year.
And on the flip side a gold plated pension. Guaranteed future for his kids kids. Best years behind him.
There was no choice. I think he has helped the club as they would have pointed out it helped them.

In some ways this is shining a light on the whole subject and may be for the future good.

On the money in football: gone way too far for any changes. FIFA is worth more than a lot of countries.

(Not defending human rights issues, just brutal reality. The club were in transformational change stage, not slow transition, and that counted against him).

His pension won’t go away any time soon. It’s nailed on whenever he jumps.

Wonder which club will be the first to have a pre season tour of Saudi Arabia ?

No idea.

We’ve already had two mid-season breaks there.
