You’d never even guess there was a Mars bar under that batter.
They were allegedly hash browns, but the poshest hash browns I’ve ever seen.
The only thing that might need clarification is the crab scotch egg.
I couldn’t be arsed cooking today. But didn’t know what I wanted. Felt summery. Remembered I had cod in the fridge and lentils in the larder.
Sofrito cooked down, then lentils and fresh stock added, a splash of cream and butter and a little vinegar and citrus to lift the base.
Herb crusted cod made with breadcrumbs, parsley and a little dash of mint.
It tasted better than expected

Medium rare sirloin mit chunky beef dripping chips ‘n salad. Cornish sea salt on the chips with cracked black pepper + a splodge of course grain mustard.
Italian style pork meatballs in Arrabbiata sauce with Mozzarella, cherry tomatoes & Anchoa+ Chipotle chilli flakes. Served with Pennoni Rigati pasta tossed in butter with chives, dill tops & cracked black pepper. Oodles of freshly shaved Parmesan Regganio.
