I hadn’t joined the dots but of course it’s Heatherwick. The man is a fcuking plague.
I find Heatherwick conflicting - I think some of his stuff is pretty cool, and some of it is absolute shite. Nothing in the middle.
Yep, apart from the two seats on the left hand side upstairs nothing positive about them. Noisy all the time, hot in summer, cold in winter, stupid inward opening doors at the back on the first batch, stupid facing seats of 4 both sides downstairs, and I suspect shit drive. The route I travel on the most (24) they often need to be rebooted when engines pressure alarms come up. Oh and the announcements often have torrents with announcements getting random locations added either mid announcement or at the end.

Yeah, things like the busses and the Crucible in Hudson’s Yard are definitely not his finest work. I do have a soft spot for this as a concept though:
I’m not quite sure on the Garden Bridge idea - the impression I got was that the core concept was really quite lovely, and then Boris Johnson while Mayor of London got his hands on it and make a complete travesty of it.
