To my mind it very much depends on whether you can trust that the government ultimately have your best interests at heart

I don’t get all the fuss about Tony Abbott’s views. They do seem a good deal more modern, liberal and enlightened than those of Jacob Rees-Mogg.

You might need to read a bit more about Abbot. He managed to make John Howard look like a fairly enlightened leader which is not something that is easily done as Howard was an absolute blight on Australia’s reputation.

I don’t think there was every any desire or intention to get a deal from Bojo & gang. They’ll never admit it though.
