I had 24kg of Amos delivered today. The box was ripped and the bag was coming apart. I barely got it into the garage. The chunks are of mixed sizes, there are bigger pieces. I think size wise its better than Big K. I’ll let you know what I think.

Apparently big meat is a young man’s game.

Fuck you, middle age.

Was properly delicious, slow cooked/smoked in the bbq @ 110°c up to 40°c internal then seared to 50° and rested for 10m.

Got one of these cheap Lidl mini kamado today to give it a go. I don’t tend to BBQ much so this is a toe in water jobbie.

£79.

The thin “stainless steel” griddle will lose it’s shine and rust like a rusty thing after the first flame up. Try oiling it and keep it somewhere dry after. The rest should run the course.

It’s a decent gauge but yes good idea on oiling it :+1:

That’s certainly better gauge than others I’ve seen from Meister.

Looks OK.

Mine’s a year old today. A decent wire brush and flames, and all is fine

Managed to get a fair amount of food off what is a relatively small grill. There was a round of burgers and sausages, stuff on the photo and then more haloumi, and veg strips after.

The control over the cooking temperature makes it a doddle.

Are these things heavy/bulky? Want something decent for the motorhome, not some piece of crap pressed steel thing that I’ll have to replace every year.

20kg Rob. Nothing for a strapping fella like yourself
