My favourite is actually the Woolworths one. Someone should replace Currys with Rumbelow.

Top idea; wonder who would notice!

People very quickly noticed the sudden appearance of extra Middle Earth entries on the road signs around here a few years ago. It was one of those occasions where the perpetrator did all of them in one overnight blitz but the council took the best part of a week to restore them IIRC.

Was it a sword-cane?

I have a recollection of the Russians assassinating someone in London with a poison-tipped umbrella at some point during the Cold War too.

Didn’t Adam Adamant carry one of those?

yep think that was a ricin tipped umbrella

bloody hell it was 1978, thought it was in the 50’s

A sword cane is exactly as it sounds, a thin sword with the cane as a sheath. My father had one hidden away, or so he thought, I found it and took it outside to play. I had no idea what it was until my panicked parents hunted me down and retrieved it, I was probably 6 or 7 at the time.Look at this product that I found on google.com Super Gents Walking Stick Sword Stick.

Faecesbook wanks out endless unwanted and irrelevant bilge into my feed, but occasionally shits-out a gem:

I don’t even…

I just hope they haven’t/can’t breed.

They have and they can, unfortunately… it seem ā€˜thick’ is the in thing at the moment…

I used to drive buses on that road. Difficult to imagine how anything over 20mph is possible. Tight with parked vehicles on both sides and enough large vehicles to keep people honest…

Definitely not the best of news - my local decorators’ supplies shop. Admittedly it was better when John Carrack ran it, but sad to see it fall to the likes of B&Q.

Camborne, earlier: seems like something good can, potentially, come from The Peninsula…
