Jez is pulling names out of a hat now. Opposition organised by raffle or who hasn’t had a go yet?

Shadow Secretary of State for Business – Rebecca Long-Bailey
Shadow Secretary of State for Environment – Sue Hayman
Shadow Secretary of State for Wales – Christina Rees
Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury – Peter Dowd

This is what you’re up against

I was watching this and I was a little bit sick in my mouth.

Everyone’s always quick to point out all the ghastly stuff done by Britain back when we ruled the waves but lets not forget, in addition to the odd punishment beating, we gave the colonies civilisation, proper manners, cricket, football, Christianity and, most generously of all, the glorious English language. Now we’re free of Europe we can go back to these countries, remind them how grateful they should be for these great gifts and exploit them all over again with the illusory bounties of our new free trade ethos.

Does that mean we can paint the world pink again?

Yes and we’ll make them pay for all the pink paint.

Fuckin A. Can we take back New Amsterdam while we’re at it. Might be able to do some good over there

We did similar stuff to the Romans really - the basic idea was to get the local leaders on board, let them keep their position, and cream off some taxes and stuff. Unfortunately, we copied their occasional hobby of decimation, and law enforcement that erred on the side of disincentivisation a bit too far.

But hey, it was the good old days.

Don’t they export mostly though? Not sure I quite understand

There has been a fall in orders which coincides with Rolls Royce no longer being able to provide the discriminating purchaser with a brown envelope full of readies because reasons.

I worked with a company (not RR) that used to do a lot of defence work, and there was a guy there who they called suitcase man. Part of his job was to go to the Middle East with a suitcase full of money, and make sure they won the contract.
