Ah, now I see why you were putting all that work into a Z4. It’s an early one, with fabric roof.

It is 17yrs old now.
My youngest son has a, ubiquitous 13 plate, and it’s a nice car.
Yours is a bit special
Looks like it just came out of the showroom - love the colour too. Nice one Graham!
Lovely. I really quite fancy one of those. Or a boxster.
Boxsters are a much better drive. But the old ones haven’t aged very well imo, I didn’t like the interiors.
E85s aren’t fun to drive, but the older ones are a dirt cheap way into a reliable ragtop with a decent engine. Might get £4k for mine on a good day, (£3.5k for average conditon one) which is why I’m keeping it.
Wifey has always liked the looks of Z3s. After telling her how much better to drive Z4s are I then showed her the price of Z3M roadster and coupes
Z3s are shit. Don’t buy one of those.
No, I started looking at 981 Cayman S then…
No I don’t think they are shit. I drove Z3 and Z4 around test tracks extensively. The Z4 is the more accomplished car and much easier to spin around the track at pace.
Z3 was hairier and because of this I found it more fun to drive. The lower waist line also makes it feel more like a 60s style roadster in terms of exposure and connection with the road.
In contrast the stiffer and more agile Z4 can seem a bit safer and on rails. The interior space and driving position are more modern too. The fact you can still pick them up for relative peanuts is great when you consider the out and out performance of the 2.8 and 3.0 versions.
We still have some 19 inch alloys that came off the wife’s Z4 in the garage.
Lovely wheels.
Really should empty my garage!
Ebay?
When we dig them out, yes.
Looked amazing on but weren’t conducive to the farm track that her nags lives down!
I might be interested for my e46 if and when you dig them out.
Which reminds me @bmtell Mark, those Alfa alloys are still here for you.
I’ll try and get a photo. Can’t recall if we have four or five.
Photos of clean wheels only in this thread please.
Thank you
Get thee out of our thread!

ALL the kerbs - ALL OF THEM!
She wanged one the day she picked it up with me.
It is possible that’s the one and the rest are ok. Luckily I know and man who knows a man who can sort them for not much.
