Yoga charged just £20 extra for Claires change.
The £362 was to cover 6 months insurance only - £700 odd PA after that.
I may have to change again in six months I wonder how much that will be?
I’m with Tesco now -They were fantastic to deal with when I was rear ended by someone they insured in May.
Yikes, Aviva were good when I moved, policy went up by around £7.50 for 2 months and £50 per year with no admin charge.
Fucking renewal quote went up to £300 from £170 the year before though after consistently going down in the previous years. Only upside is the new policy has no excess either compulsory or voluntary.
Just received my renewal from Tesco, £323 a reduction of £60 from last year ![]()
This year, as an opening gambit, Direct Line seems to think I’ve had the car gold plated since the last quote;
christ - that’s a massive premium.
How many miles a year are you paying to cover?
Between 12-15k depending on how many times a week I head to the office (c. 50 miles each way). Still a lot better off than I would be on petrol.
Same on my cars. 20% drop on both without asking.
Shopping around didnt better the renewal offers.
A pleasant surprise.
Martin Lewis web site is saying Insurance quotes are down by 16% across the board compared to last year.
So even if you get quoted a reduced premium it still might be worth shopping around.
Mine came in this morning, down about 14%. I’ll do a search, but this was easily the lowest quote last year.
My renewal for my e350d convertible was about £40pm 3k miles a year, protected ncb, roadside assist in a small Bedfordshire village
Which is insane when the same cover for an AMG CL63 is half that at £23pm
Something to be said for driving an old mans cunt sled.
Aviva renewal came through today for my 530D, 18,000 miles a year = £1352
Quick check on comparison site = £552
Aviva can do one!
Surprising.
Insurance costs have actually come down,
My renewal quote was cheaper than the previous year, and got it even cheaper elsewhere,
Still nowhere near your costs though,
But I am driving a 12 year old Focus!
18000 miles a year is a lot, are you an Uber driver? ![]()
A couple of years ago I reversed into someone and broke both our bumpers, total claim was 3.5k
Been with Aviva for a few years, prior to bumper damage cost was £450 a year, then went up to £780 which I thought was fair enough but this year is a crazy renewal price.
Also, the £552 quote above was with a black box which I didn’t realise at first but £ 662 gets me comparable insurance (no box) so about 50% of quoted renewal with Aviva.
Just dad taxi
