Cuntscooters - should they be legal?

An observation from me. I’ve seen e scooters and step through e scooter (lambretta style) used as hire transport v sucessfully in half a dozen mainland European cities/ large towns. They all had something in common, a fucking brilliant public transport system resulting in very few cars on the roads. Think trams, underground, local rail, electric busses, all integrated and working together. Oh, also bike lanes and a culture of bike use.

Breaking the car culture in the UK will be a tough task.
Its viewed as a right, though its a privilege that people need to respect.

Agreed. The thing about the alternatives - bikes, scooters, even the bus, is that you can’t carry much shopping. Plus a lot of them are hopeless in the rain.

Why not combine the two?

Saw this on the road today and thought of this thread immediately!

Electric; enclosed; space for shopping and has lights and shit!

Used a lot for local deliveries in Bristol.

Saw one for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It was delivering human cubs and shopping. Looked like it had an unusually long wheelbase; wasn’t in a position to speak to the rider. :sunglasses:

Should be the new fox hunting.

What, the law that everyone ignores and the police do fuck all about as well?

As a friendly bobby pointed out " you try fucking catching 'em ". There aren’t enough off road bikes/personnel available, as to where and when they pop up is a lottery so catching them is nigh on impossible, plus they can escape down narrow alleyways and rat runs where police vehicles cannot access. If the police give chase and an accident occurs it’s the police who are criminalised by the community and lets face it, one or two scrotes on e bikes aren’t going to pay the officers mortgage if an incident arises.
More police officers, more resources and a less self entitled miscreant scrote population and something may be acheived.

No point in chasing them, I’m pretty certain that the ones that do ~40 mph up the middle of our road will remove themselves from the gene pool fairly soon.

Snipers are the answer.

Time to regulate their design then, safe e scooters that dont catch fire are available.

I was thinking piano wire at a strategic height, then again my imagination is quite fertile

I believe cunstscooters should be legal provided there is a 12-months per year Open Season during which you are allowed to hunt them with packs of XL Bullies that have been seized from other louts :ok_hand:
