If you’re considering buying one, then I didn’t really like the sound of “Bed Kingdom” selling a turntable rack, so I found it for £183 at Robert Dyas, who I have actually heard of.
Went back to buy it a few minutes ago and it had gone back up to £228.99
However another bash with Google shopping and Amazon (stocked and shipped from Amazon) have it for £159
Naturally my champagne socialist credentials went straight in the bin and I bought from Bezos.

was definitely a Pro-Ject. The guy said that it was a slightly older model and that the modern equivalent is £600, so Google suggests that it might be a Debut EVO.
Having said all that I didn’t buy anything of that ilk, instead taking @thebiglebowski’s advice and bought a Rega Planar 1 Plus in walnut
because it ticks all the boxes and I like how it looks. Should arrive later this week.
