eBay stuff (Part 2)

Heard this a few times at various shows (Munich mostly) but can’t say it left any deep impression. It’d be interesting to hear how it really stacked up against other spendy contenders in an appropriate system (not that I’m in the market for £100k+ turntables nor ever would be)

Didn’t they have one at cranage when free kondo fans and bags were on offer?

Probably, I don’t think I managed to have a proper look round.

Haven’t seen that Luxman before. This one interests me although it’s bigger sibling, the 2.0 would interest me more.

That’s not a lot of money (relatively) for an air driven linear tracker.

Interesting chap

Looks like it’s been sat in a damp garage for longer than’s good for it judging by the random bits of rust…

…though that could just be ‘The Emporium Effect’…

I knew he’d eventually become involved in coffee foo (and that he’d designed the 774 tonearm)

We had a German distributor (BlackForest Audio) who was the agent for Versa there so I heard the 2.0 a few times. It was an impressive thing.

It looks extremely well done, but a bit to blingy for me

There are dozens in his eBay shop, some blingy, some less so.

I think you are right, they were using some odd speakers so it was hard to judge the sound of the tt.

If I remember rightly,it was quite underwhelming

Why they stuck a V-12 on it, feels like an afterthought.
