eBay stuff (Part 2)

If I wanted an actual hifi I’d definitely be having that. Just my kind of thing.

What do you mean ‘if’ ?

You’ve seen my house. It’s small and there is no appropriate space for anything more than the glorified boombox that I’ve settled with.

I’m sure you had standmounts when I visited?

Anyway, period appropriate sideboard to hide things in…sorted

I do, Amphion Argon1

Ignore the amp in the picture they’re now being driven by a Sonos AMP

The space and the usage (background music with a G&T) really doesn’t warrant a five grand class A integrated

I’m sure that’s not how it is supposed to work

Which is exactly what Vatican Shadow expect to happen, no doubt.

That’s strictly headphone music :slightly_smiling_face:

Or more like

P.s. it appears that there were quite a few dubious headphone ads in the 70s

All advertising was dubious in the 70s

It was hidden under a luminous green carpet when we moved in. Most houses have replaced it with ye olde tongue and groove.

It’s a bit worse for wear at the moment

hence me mentioning

Exactly the same flooring I have in the living room and dining room in my 60s built house

Ah, looks in quite good condition generally though, we had similar in our prevous 1950s house, was lovely although in very poor repair, especially around the fire place and window areas where the glue had come away.

I’d love to have something like this again in our current house but prices are quite high even for the mesh backed tile versions.
