Amazing that a fuse costs more than my stereo,cd and record collection,car. In fact if I sold everything I own I still couldn’t afford that fuse.

What are you supposed to do if your plug looks like this ?
You might guess that, viewed from this direction, the left-hand fuse terminal goes to the L pin on the plug and the right-hand terminal goes to the equipment cable. But do they ?
Then again, if you’ve spaffed £8k on the fuse you’re probably using a plug that looks like it’s powering Darth Vader’s light sabre charger.

Wasn’t it just a load of transformer laminations in a wooden case? It wouldn’t be that surprising for it to affect the behaviour of a power transformer it was placed upon. Whether it’d necessarily be worse or an improvement is another story.
