Off to see Nick Harper tomorrow in Birkenhead. Seen him a few times and he’s always been a cracking gig.
I went to Future Yard for the first time a few weeks ago, it’s a good venue.
Not really a gig, and I probably won’t be going but intriguing all the same
They look to have a bit more room on that stage compared to when I saw them at Wylam Brewery in Newcastle.
An absolute treat was dat
Jazz to make you multiply?
Evidently that was judged a success, the promoter just announced another date next April.
I know the guy from Castles In Space was excitedly posting photos of how busy it was. I guess niche electronica is usually quite niche.
This was similar to the wife’s comment or to be exact more egg heads than egg shakers
While I’ve got a minute, going to see “Cornish Sound Unit”, basically Mark Jenkin and his mate, perform the soundtrack to Enys Men on Thursday night.
No stage-diving I suspect.
Have you seen te film yet?
Unfortunately not. It hasn’t appeared on any of the services that I use.
Not decided if to get a ticket or not yet, but thought would share as I know others are keen fans.
Or for Edinburgh
However it looks like I’m about to see it. My misunderstanding. I thought that I was attending a recital of the soundtrack. It’s a screening of the film with the score performed live.
Yeah, in two minds about this one too
There were quite a few showings down here in small, independent film clubs. I really liked it but a few locals came out shaking their heads wondering wtf it was all about!
I seem to attend an awful lot of events with guys hunched over a table fiddling with a bag of wires
Photo from Kings Place themselves.
Why did I read that as “bag of wives”?
Never got to see them/him back in the day so think I need to go to the Manchester show. Anyone else fancy it?
