Gigs I'm going to. The Gyroscope diaries

Looks like they are doing well at getting them off Benefits and into proper employment.
Could be a Cabinet job waiting for the band’s manager.

Well, I will blame the Wam and you at AA for visiting gigs more intensively now.
And thanks a million to you all, I love it a lot, the girls love it too and some gigs were suggested by them to visit  .
Previous week Paul Carrack at Savoy Düsseldorf with Mrs Rednose (our first concert together).
Last week Level 42 at Vredenburg Utrecht, Sammy Rae & the Friends, Kymara (Dutch singer, Brighton based! was support act) at Doornroosje Nijmegen, and Annett Louisan at RuhrCongress Bochum.
Next week to Chloe Adams at Paradiso Amsterdam, Kruder & Dorfmeister at Stadthalle Cologne and RAYE at Melkweg Amsterdam.

We also went to the previous Dutch concerts of Kymara as we love her music. She noticed us in the audience and she mentioned us (the dad and daughter  ) when she announced the next song of which she knows is our favorite. That one was for us. The most beautiful gig I’ve ever been.

That’ll be ace. Great the mention at the Kymara gig, you’re veterans now

Keep it up Rudy and Rudyette :+1:

Pleasant afternoon house concert of dance tunes with Will Allen (melodeon) and Martin Clarke (fiddle), aka Brown Boots.

Just back from this -

…at another first-time-for-us venue - Louth Riverside - to see Piers Adams’ new project. If you know and like the music he involves himself in you’ll know how virtuosic and entertaining he is, as well as somewhat iconoclastic: certainly the Goldberg Variations will never be quite the same again!

Interesting to have a brief chat with him and Lyndy afterwards - once the stage persona is parked, he’s a very understated and modest guy!

Damn good evening all told!

A mile down the road.

I was a bit “meh” about King Gizzard, but now Young Fathers, David Holmes, Helena Hauff, Squid, yeh booking that tomorrow.

Was looking at some quite expensive bits in the Sunspel black Friday nonsense while prevaricating about expensive gig tickets.

Realised that I don’t need any more stuff and you don’t get better than physical experience so I blew £200 on.

To be fair it’s four solid days and very good bills IMO.

And no spendy T shirts

If I had any clue where I might be at that point, I’d be quite tempted by this. King Gizzard and Helena Hauff in particular are definitely on my list of acts to see.

We have a spare bedroom if you’re in the area.

I’d have to move the PlayStation mind you

Open mic night tonight at the Clutha (of helicopter crash infame) some great artists on show. Really need to do it more often, great night, shame I had to leave early.

Particularly when you factor in what it would have been in the early 80’s :slightly_smiling_face:
