Gigs I'm going to. The Gyroscope diaries

Indeed, Apparently there is a lot of family history of heart disease
He had a stent fitted and recovery from that is generally quite quick.
Also worrying was that when he collapsed he fell face first into a glass coffee table and a plastic surgeon had to remove glass shards from close to his eyes.
Hope he doesn’t give too detailed an explanation at the gig!

First show is Glasgow tonight so see how he feels I expect, at least it is a short run with only four shows

Awesome gig
Best thing I have seen a while
Front row seat so couldn’t get the percussionist in the shot, so he gets a pic of his own.

Lafayette is a nice (and very new, purpose-built) venue :+1:

Dead handy for King’s X, St Pancras, Coal Drops Yard.

At the risk of teaching my granny to suck eggs, the main hall is considerably wider than it is deep - it’s difficult not to be close up to the band.

Nitzer Ebb a couple of years ago.

Sadly it sounds unlikely that will be a recurrence of that, given Douglas McCarthy’s health issues.

Being outdoors and in South London, the Crystal Palace Bowl series of concerts are always pretty spliff-tastic, however I suspect that 10th August (bottom right)

will be particularly herbal this year.

It’s a long time since I’ve been in an actual church.

St John on Bethnal Green.

Great lighting

Unsurprisingly much better acoustics than your average East End “upstairs in a pub”.

Main event, Warrington Runcorn

Suprised you haven’t been to any gigs at Union Chapel?

:astonished: He lloks older than I imagined.

Late forties? Although I’m notoriously shit at guessing ages.

I would have said he looks mid-late 50’s but what do I know ?

Who needs Blockchain when your door entry system is this secure?

Better photo stolen from “Sydenham Broadcasting Corporation” (pro tip: I don’t think there really is a Sydenham Broadcasting Corporation) on that Twitter.

I love it when the artist can clearly feel and hear something that you just can’t. Mighty Lord Deathman throws shapes in a similar way while twiddling the knobs.

On the topic of concerts in churches - The Hanging Stars in St.Michael in the Hamlet, Liverpool on Thursday. Picture from Twitter
