Guy is just thinking that
I thought it was John Grant on first glance
Just got cut up in a queue by Royal Blood’s drummer.
Stick a fork in me, I’m done ![]()
They are playing Exeter in November , I was supposed to see them last month but the gig got postponed to the above
You’re right.
5 minutes to go and it’s very thin on the ground ![]()
The same place was sardines at 4pm for Ufomammut (who sucked balls IMO).
Seeing them on Wednesday… not seen them live before. Like they’re stuff though.
Whatever they’re doing, it’s in 7/8 and there’s a woman with a flute.
A bold move when the rest of the weekend is bleurgh gargle satan.
It did fill up, the crowd warmed to them and they rocked out.
Thoroughly enjoyed that - talent will out.
Last one in the current wildly over-optimistic series of gigs tomorrow
and I’m not completely certain about even going. The ticket was cheap - I got in one day one and the prices are heavily gamed with simulated peril, there are about 8 “tiers” of prices from cheap to stupid expensive.
This time last year I felt a bit out of place, and then at the sister event Field Day (I think) in Victoria Park in August I wasn’t just in the older age bracket, more “yeah, I’m definitely the oldest person here” ![]()
Young Fathers would be good though, even on a massive stage. And I hadn’t noticed that the Lambrini Girls are on too.
Someone has to be. Wear it like a badge.
That’s a nice attitude, I like that.
Some of the younger people seem to take themselves very seriously.
I’m afraid I’m more “I like music”, “Ooh! Beer!”.
You and me, we’re the same.
Take That
Sunday night at the City Ground.

Youngest is seeing them Thursday evening at MK Bowl.
I saw them at Cardiff years back. Always a good show. I’d not buy anything, but as an event I am looking forward to it. There bangers are made for stadiums.
It’s only down the road.
Where bangers?
