Gigs I'm going to. The Gyroscope diaries

Great spot

It was rammed - a sell out. This short-arse was glad he got there early enough for a decent vantage point.

Like sardines, they were.

I’m going to the Orb and the Ozrics the next night so this is probably not do-able

edit: just seeing the times, that’s a definite “no”

Hope they do Judas (Was A Redheaded Man). A real neighbours coming for you with flaming torches sort of song.

I am expecting ‘Ragged Kingdom’ to feature heavily

Two pleasant surprises at Hartlepool today. I haven’t enjoyed much “alt-folk” to date but Frankie Archer is superb, managing the electronics confidently and singing really well.

Then Chloe Matharu, nice to hear harp and voice, and remarkably from a qualified merchant marine navigation officer.

Hopefully some Freedom and Rain too, and even On Air???

Take a listen to Genevieve Tudor’s chat with her last week (Mixcloud Genevieve Tudor folk)

In memory of her old friend Les Barker, June Tabor just sung this.
The sentiments should go down well with many on this forum

Bill Staines always played the original on guitar, of course…

Please report on the support Conan if you see them. They’re on the bill for Desertfest Antwerp.

Although there is a non-zero chance that I won’t be able to make it
