Been a while since I got two tickets for a gig for less than thirty quid. Would cost more to go the cinema these days.

Been to quite a few gigs.

Native James in Croydon. Stardom definitely awaits this young man

Big Special.

Gnome in a basement in a heatwave. I have tickets for Lowen in the same venue. Hopefully they’ll have fixed the AC by then.

Professional photo from Desertfest London.

And Benefits. Twice I think. I have another ticket for later in the year too.

Benefits was actually three times. Rough Trade, the Lexington and the same gig as Native James in Croydon. Bugeye on the same bill were very good, Billy Nomates wasn’t :grimacing: IMO.

I’d forgotten that two Belgian friends insisted on going to see Goldie at Village Underground and then complained that it was very percussive and not very melodic.

Are Big Special good live, Guy ?

Saw them supporting John Grant last year - it’s not entirely my cup of tea, but they seemed pretty good live to me.

Yes, very entertaining.

By my count I think I’ve seen them five times, which has to say something.

The wife even went back to see them at the Lexington having come to the Jazz Café, and she’s not easily pleased :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Just spent the last 2 minutes thinking I’d missed this then realising that it’s only Thursday.

Now returned to the DICE waiting list. There’s no way I’m in a fit state to go to a gig.

Congratulations to the lads for selling out in under 24 hours. Hopefully someone picks up my ticket (and vinyl) in the next couple of hours.

Shoot from the Hip (improv comedy) with FoL at the Haymarket Theatre Basingstoke. She’s in a wheelchair and it’s only small but it has some of the best disabled access and seating we’ve had anywhere.

Mostly not my thing, but I have to admit even I would love to have been at Villa Park today. Looks an amazing send off/end of an era.

Watching it on the telly now.

Metallica playing, I think it’s on some sort of delayed stream, no idea when BS will appear

Looking on Google,it looks like they came on at 22.10
