Dunno mate
Some random PPV channel. The sooner they come on the better cos Metallica are shite.
Interesting in the BBC feed seeing the Columbian, Chilean, Mexican guys.
When Maiden played London a week ago there was plenty of coverage of exactly the same phenomenon.
I’m guessing that a good number of our South American friends have organised a totally metal holiday
I saw Ozzy plenty back in the day, but never caught any incarnation of Sabbath.
Off to bed now, knowing that the last couple of hours could have been spent much more wisely.
Like watching a few repeat episodes of Crossroads, even if that would have raised the adrenaline count beyond safe levels.
Despite being a huge fan of BS since my teens, I felt no obligation to witness the twitching corpse of the band tonight. I prefer to remember them at their peak.
I am aware it’s a big charity fund raiser, BTW.
My view entirely. Didn’t want to watch it, so didn’t.
Yeah. I’m pretty much done with old farts trying to relive their halcyon daze.
I wouldn’t tell any of them to stop, but I’m just not interested in watching people who look like my late granddad prancing around performing in a poor karaoke style.
This is the kit_ Totnes civic hall fri24th october
Trouble with massive ticket prices is that you can’t pitch up, decide you don’t fancy it, and slope off to the pub. You have to convince yourself you are having a great time. Walking out of a poor gig is curiously liberating.
re: the Sabbath gig. I read this morning (but have lost the link because I am senile) that they raised nearly $200m for local charities and hospitals. Which is a shitload of money.
Whether Sabbath themselves can/could still play… personally I don’t much care. Rather than seeing it as entertainment for myself it was a chance for them to say goodbye and for us to say thank you.
Katie Spencer twice, at the Trades Club, Hebden Bridge Oct 2nd with band and again solo at Cafe#9, Sheffield Oct 6th. New album launch, and want to hear the songs played with band and without.
Not sold out at time of typing.
Transmission (the sound of Joy Division) at Band on the Wall in Mch with FOL#3
Even I am not old enough to have seen JD live back in the day, and today was the 45th anniversary of the release of Closer, so it would be rude not to.
They were very good, and so was a v busy BonW
Snap
They were due to play down here a couple of years ago but it got cancelled for some reason
Yeah, right!
You and 450000 others also led to me getting an ear full at the weekend about how messed up the buses were because of this off my step dad. He lives in Middleton so close by.
