Envy envy.
Indeed.
I wasn’t going to say anything, but on that date I plan to be loafing around in a friend’s garden in the suburbs of Munich drinking a nice cold helles while he fixes up some BBQ ribs.
Michael Rother or no, I think I’ll be getting a pretty sweet deal.
Fairy nuff.
Was shocked to find out that the au pairs are touring again, only to find out it’s Lesley woods. Seems the other 3 members were up for it,but she wasn’t
The other members put out a statement that she has trademarked the name, and if the other 3 members want to play, they need to go to the auditions.
Really sad, never got round to seeing them in the late 70s/early 80s. They looked and sounded great in their heyday
Is that the bowl? Where’s the lake I may have jumped in?
Yes. I think the stage temporarily comes out over the lake.
Another shot with the rusty laptop on the RHS for perspective.
It’s a nice spot for a day festival , enjoyed it last time I was there
I’ve heard Martin Simpson many times, but this was the best by some way. Don’t know whether it’s the new trio (with Louis Campbell on guitars and Liz Hanks on cello), or being on form from a US tour, or just the Saltburn fish & chips that he was devouring earlier, but that was some set. His singing seemed more wide ranging and freer than before, and the whole set was relaxed but really sharp. Wow!
I stopped going to see him when the gigs got a bit predictable and pedestrian with much the same setlist. Stopped listening to his new albums too Maybe time to give him another go.
Although I have seen him in a few collaborations that were excellent
