Didn’t realise Longleat was that infected with nasty bugs and diseases
Playing in a memorial event this Saturday.
Mixed teams of 4, Texas Scramble, Shotgun start. SI from the Mens card.
Team h’cap is 25% of 90% of total
Should be fun
I always thought my English was quite good. Not sure anymore
NO!
For those that are inclined to use any advantage…
I have booked a custom fitting for some new clubs on Saturday. Makes me feel happy that does.
Last had a set fitted 14 years ago. I did stop for 7-8 years somewhere in the middle, but I am well overdue some new clubs. My swing speed has gone down a bit.
Tried JPX-919 Forged, i500, P790, and Z585’s. Not a huge difference tbh. Settled on the 585’s. Standard lie, half inch longer. XP90 shaft.
Got to wait a couple of weeks for them to arrive. Then maybe get some new wedges n stuff. I like buying shiny things.
Obligatory computer chip joke.
I have been using the Ping putter app to do a bit of putting practice at home. Quite a handy app. No cradle, so just used a couple of elastic bands.
I highly recommend it. It tells you a fair bit about your putting stroke.
Played 9 holes earlier. Some of it was good. Some of it was quite awful. Quite like the new M5 5 wood.
I am quite happy.
I might take my balls up on the field and have a thrash about
Really fancy a game, sadly my back doesn’t
As a back pain sufferer you have my sympathy. Fortunately mine seems to be working okay. Bit of winning helps, but won’t be doing thy anytime soon.
Played 9 yesterday, had to watch my younger brother drive it 300 plus on two occasions… He hit driver, 7 iron into a 520yd par 5. Missed the Eagle putt though… Ha! I was all over the place.
Played today, and hit the same par 5 in two with driver 5 iron. Missed the Eagle putt too. Birdie felt like a good end to an untidy round…
The swing is coming back.
Just nice to get out there for the walk. Waiting on my new irons since March. Then going to be testing wedges and a hybrid to get the gaps right.
I am not hitting it anywhere near as far as I used to do. Hence the change of clubs to have lighter shafts.
