Leather ?

One does wonder.

Remember those grainy film clips of Edwardian gents promenading jerkily and slightly-too-fast in their dapper suitings and smart hats? Recall thinking what peaceful and civilised times those must have been?

I still have some hats left over from the lump years.
Will be nice wearing one in the summer on a hot day

Lightweight “seersucker” (it’s not, but God knows what else you’d call it) bucket hat just arrived from the Long Shot Experiment.

Ordered about 4 weeks ago and it turns up on the hottest, brightest day of the year.

The big manufacturers (Kangol, Barbour) do flat caps in Deformed Mutant size, and the expensive people (Lock’s) carry some, but literally nobody does a bucket hat in 63cm.

I now look like a fat, white, old LL Cool J. Dead chuffed.

For shittier weather, Marvin from the Long Shot Experiment turned up today.

Waxed cloth outside, light fleece inside. It’s very comfortable, the fit is bob on, and the wife thinks I look like Deputy Dawg, so it’s a win all round really.
