We’ve never been to Greece before.

We love Greece, we’re off to Zakynthos in 4 weeks. I really need a break

Off to the Peak District for a week tomorrow. Longnor, near Buxton.

Cottage with Son, DiL and 2 granddaughters.

Panic last night when the 4 year old was taken into A&E due to a few days of severe diarrhea. Seems to have settled down and they are still coming.

Wales is lovely this time of year.

Spiaggia di Isola Bella is one of my favourite places in Yerp*.
I remember Pizzichella being a decent place for dinner.

*The railway line can be a bit annoying, 'tis all.

We stayed here…

After an epic trip to Straya and Singapore this year, we thought we would next have a Staycation.
I consider myself a European; so after deliberating, ruminating, cogitating, and digesting, we have chosen to take a week in Brügge in October. Weather will likely be dull but perfect for eating stodgy food, drinking hot chocolate, and spending long hours drinking ale in dark bars.

Due to my transport connection, we have obtained stupidly cheap train tickets from St Pancras (£130 return for 2). Thus consigning the EV Range Anxiety to the drive from our place to That London.

We love Brugge. Make sure you watch the film “In Brugge” before you go.

Oh, we will be taking an extra (virtually) empty suitcase to stock up on a few bottles.

How so ?

So what ? How does that relate to actually living over here ?

Did I mention that I am on a much needed break from a gruelling retirement?
