I’ve been looking at the web sites of the places involved.

I was in a hotel retauarant once when the cheese board was a trolley wheeled to the table with a great selection, I asked for a glass of port and another trolley arrived. The sommellier uttered the wonderful words 'Would sir prefer the Dow '63 or the Cockburn ‘70?’
Which epicurian oasis was this you may ask?
Trust House Hotel - Eastgate Lincoln with a wonderful view of the floodlit cathedral in the late 70s
Normally their hotels were incredibly average but this was memorable!
