Daughter has managed to sort a flight home on Friday,so gets another 2 days away.

Today we finally cracked the (something like) 20 year curse on Musée Horta.
Even on Saturday it fucked us up, but we finally cracked it today.
Yesterday we had a look around Gent - a 30 minute train every 15 minutes from Brussels. A picturesque medieval city supposedly like Bruges but less touristy. If that’s less touristy then I’ll definitely be giving Bruges a swerve.
Presumably they had vast wealth in the past since I’d suggest that the maximum number of giant Catholic churches you need within the space of a few hundred metres is one, but no they have three.
I liked Sint Michiel but Sint Baaf is the daddy. I thought that the Van Eyck (recently restored) lamb of God was in Antwerp but there it is in Gent in all its full batshit idolatrous ovine menace Catholic glory.
