How do you slice your toast and do you have marmalade on it?

I want some nice brown buttered toast! All this talk about marmalade is off-putting

^^ This. Although, recently I like savoury things on my toast and prefer a rustic pain or sour dough. A bit of ham and comtĂ©, or maybe some paté

I do like a rough pate on brown toast.

Excellent, the Francophile transition is all but complete

Do you only eat food that has an Ă© at the end now then?

This is you will EVER need

:triangular_ruler:

I got me some of that after the last time you posted it on here.

I spread it on a digestive biscuit. Oh yes.

Of course not, look at the size of me

I for one support the transition. I believe Warward’s yet to be named alter ego shows a deep and vibrantly deluded inner world. Up with this kind of ting! Bravo Monsieur, Gourmand

Ok, so I’m confused!

Baguette with the same topping.

NO not strawberries - tis the reason I carry an Epipen

Multiple layers of wrong, all in the one picture.

C’est faux, faux faux. Avoir une emprise Ritchie!

(not sure that my attempt at ‘get a grip’ parses correctly)

Jesus, it didn’t take me long to find the Mumsnet area of the forum.

Look, toast should be thick and granary and topped with butter and half an inch of Marmite. Cream cheese is optional, or peanut butter.

It shouldn’t be sliced - just get noshing on it.

I had thick white bread toast this morning at my local cafe with salted butter. Not too good. I shall continue with wholemeal bread with unsalted butter. :grinning:
