I have a large pile of bits, but still not got around to getting the wood cut or starting assembly. Life is getting in the way atm. Currently aiming for summer time
I still have them in the loft. Unfortunately both bass units bizarrely went solid.
Iāve spoken to Bob at neat years ago about new ones, but heās not sure how to get into them. I never got round to listening to them
Did I sell them to you Rob? - From memory I picked them up in Gloucester but not 100% sure. When I bought them one driver was scraping - had to get it realigned.
It was the whole unit I pulled the surrounds of and they still wouldnāt move.
Lived in a very small house and put them in the garage. Was a really cold winter and wondered if that had done it. Wouldnāt have thought it would of though
Still letting them settle initially they sounded a little overly smooth seemed like treble roll off - currently messing with different types of rear damping original stuff was quite thick just waiting on some egg crate stuff to arrive
In the Acousta cabs Iāve just lined the chamber directly behind each driver with 3mm felt.
But Iāll try & take some measurements this week & see what they are actually doing. They sound pretty balanced, certainly less peaky than any other whizzer coned drivers Iāve tried with the exception of the AER BD5.
