I’m sure you could manage to rig something up!

Maybe. Easier to buy, but not as satisfying.

Got better things to do in lockdown?

Yes, growing season is upon us.

Occupied making for others…

Nice retirement plan Steve, you’re a dark horse. With hydroponics though, isn’t growing season year round?

We have 1 poly tunnel now, soon to be 2.
Hehe, not massive ones.

Plan formulating. Turn the inner Le C part up to 9" on lathe.
I am well versed at that part👍
Then turn / massage the larger flarey bit on end sander, might use an angle grinder cutter ala Azura even, my little one would fit in.
This piece will not be very long, so the lateral forces will not be great. Nice wide base to fix to the drive disc too.
Don’t mind a couple of piece securing holes in the sanding drum/disc. Can fill them.
Then mate the two horn pieces together.
What could possibly go wrong?:joy:

I intend to spray paint the Le C horns to match the rest so can use blocks of wood laminated together = cheap.
I liked poplar when I turned some Le C tweeter horns for Simon.

I feel a plan coming together.

BTW JMLC wanted €€€€’s + Brexit tax :exploding_head:
I just came on all cheap and mean🙂
I like my plan better than that.

What does your system look like in situ these days Steve? Not been to your new(er) place.

Are you ready for a shock Ritchie?

The mids out wide work really well to my ears.
The tapped horns work best in this room lying down firing upwards, farthest away from me.
The mid bass are now extended throat with Kappa 12A’s.
I’ve tried the upper mid S2’s and Raals flush with the mid horns, but prefer them set back.

Wow!

Oh wow, that’s changed a bit from when I saw it!

Haha cool, that looks great! :+1:

Comfortingly bonkers.

Gives a nice sound stage.

It’s changed a bit from when Pete was down last. Mostly upstream. All linear PSUs. Qobuz (soon to be spotify hifi, I hope) RPi/Kali reclocker, much more attention to the I2S connections too. That actually made a bit improvement.

Forgot to say, those are the 400Hz GRP Tractrix I made on the upper mids.
I’m using the old 550’s turned wood now.

It’s actually impressively compact.

It is indeed.

You’re getting the hang of this.:rofl::rofl:

That’s way too low rpm for hand held tooling imho.
