She’s like that clip in real life.
Literally.

A trifling amount next to the £30bn that Trussonomics cost the country.

Not to worry we’ll recuperate the money over time by stiffing public service workers while reminding them that it is their responsibility not to embed inflation by asking for decent pay rises.

This thread about the true costs & the actual benefits of settling the public sector pay disputes is very instructive.

starts here

Rishi Sunak has claimed that to pay a 10% pay rise to all public sector employees will cost each household in the UK £1,000. This is what I call CRAp - which stands for a ‘completely rubbish approximation’ to the truth. Let me explain…a thread…

He stops short of just calling them out for blatant lying. I’m sure Sunak knows exactly how the economy works, where that tax goes, and when and how much of that money leaves the productive chain and lands in Panama. His issue is that by giving it to people who earn and need it, that exit to Panama is delayed and not quite as much of the money gets there.

Bit wishful but I hope this spells the end of his political career.

Well if\when Sunak says that he has full confidence in Raaaaaaaab, then we’ll know his time is up.

The report will go to the PM and then he will ignore it, same as Johnson did with Patel

Not seen him for a while but this distilled venom is worth 2 minutes of your time

Pisstaking on an industrial scale.

Yesterday reported elsewhere it was £750K
But then he has a lot of mouths to feed!

The worrying part is that there are that many dumbasses, willing to part with their money, to listen to the gobshite.

Doesn’t he have a job as an MP?

And since when has that stopped any of those cunts from doubling up

From Wiki

According to The Guardian , the register of MPs’ interests shows that more than 90 Conservative MPs undertake paid work in addition to their job in parliament, along with three Labour MPs. According to the BBC, “more than 200 MPs received earnings in the last year on top of their £81,932 annual salary. The extra earnings range from £50 a year to almost £1m.”

Geoffrey Cox, a former Attorney General, registered a total income of £970,000 in 2020, for 705 hours of legal services

I think he was dossing in the Carribean for most of that work, but @murrayjohnson would probably know more as I think Cox is his MP.

It used to be over 200 MPs but there was a bit of a crackdown in 2015

We really need to stop all this rot. Either pay them enough so they don’t have to seek extra remuneration.
Or just shoot them.
My money is on a bullet as it’s so much cheaper.

My argument has always been to pay them more but not allow any other income
